Handshake at a Glance
Suggested use: Share with academic advisors or other internal stakeholders in your units who are in positions to promote Handshake to students. It is meant to show the value of Handshake and provide a quick overview of its features along with some tips on using Handshake in advising.
Postcards
Suggested use: For resource fairs, information packets, and front desks. Includes basic information about Handshake and is a good quick introduction if the person isn’t aware of Handshake.
Business Card
Suggested use: For front desks, staff offices, information packets, etc. Includes minimal information about Handshake. Ideal when the recipient has heard about Handshake, and you want to give them a physical reminder where to follow up.
Presentation for advisors and faculty
Suggested use: Present or share with advisors or faculty in your college. An annual Handshake training is hosted centrally for all UMN advisors using this or similar presentation material (for more information contact Jess Hoarn, [email protected]). Collegiate and campus units are encouraged to host additional sessions on an as needed basis.
Poster
Suggested use: Post in department and staff offices, interview centers, resources rooms, and common areas such as the student unions or RecWell.
Web banner
Suggested use: On websites, newsletters, and presentation slides.
Web tile
Suggested use: For websites, newsletters, and any digital medium where you need a small, UMN branded Handshake image.
*Add logos
Suggested use: Add the Handshake logo to your material that already has UMN branding.
Digital signage
Suggested use: Add to monitors in your buildings and reception areas.
